My Dragon Swap ATCs

This is one of the ATCs I did for my Dragon swap. It is pencil on paper mounted on blue cardstock.

The second on I did was "The Guardian" based on an oil painting I did years ago. It is Prismacolor pencil on cardstock.

This one was a happy accident with my printer, I ran out of yellow ink and this came out. Posted by Hello

Quote/Poem Artistamp

I finally sent my "Quote/Poem" swap cards and stamps for the AML-TOO list swap.

Here's the reverse of the postcard.

I also received yesterday this card and artistamp from Missy Welshko-Williams, Thank you Missy, it's a great stamp and cause!

They grow their hair long and have it cut and donate the braid to "Locks of Love" that makes wigs for children who've lost their hair. Posted by Hello

IUOMA and other Mail Art

Here is my Certificate of Membership in the International Union of Mail-Artists! See, it's official! Ruud, the Presidente-El Monte of the IUOMA signed it himself back in 2003 when I applied for membership. http://www.iuoma.org/ You can, too!

The envelope. Ruud also enclosed some of the gold stickers you see. Thank you, Ruud!

This was my first or second artistamp. The photo is of a sculpture of a mare and foal outside the American Royal building. Rianna, being a good, breastfed girl, noticed that the mommy horse had "milks!"

Gosh, she looks so young in this one! This was taken at Union Station at Christmastime.

My first artistamp receipts! Bill Porter sent me my first mail art and photographic at that! He has been a good friend and I owe him much!

The postcard front.

I made this for the second call I entered, I mailed the card to the White House and a digital copy to the call host (I'm sorry, I can't remember who did it) Posted by Hello

This one is a classic lomograph, from the hip, of my son. Posted by Hello

2004 ATCs

Here's some other ATCs I've done this year. This one is a construction paper stencil with tissue paper behind it. I did the pumpkin the same way.

I based this one on a rubber stamp I carved at Halloween time.

These five were for a USA ATC swap held by Jane Widman, there were some great cards in this swap, I'll have to scan them soon. This was Prismacolor pencil and ink on a card with the state outline printed from the computer.

The Sears Tower was hard to do but turned out great!

The cards all have something of the state flag as the background. I got them from www.50states.com.

Iowa was probably the easiest. We drove through the state twice last weekend!!

Hawaii was the hardest, I had to do it twice because of the flag, I gave up doing it in proportion to the card size and just used the width measurement to go on.

Next are the cards I did for the India/Bollywood swap. These were fun!

This was loosly based on an arabesque pattern. When it was done, I thought it looked like a chakra. Yellow is the color of the Manipura or solar plexus chakra. Posted by Hello

KP Rocks!

Here's the Kim Possible card I did for the Heroes & Villains swap. It's prismacolor pencil and ink. Posted by Hello

Iowa Storm

I did this on the way back from Minnesota Monday the 5th. We went through storm systems all the way through Iowa with spectacular cumulus. I'll send it in for the Simple Pleasures swap. Posted by Hello
