EDM #36 - Draw in Public

The Main Street bridge over Brush creek on the Plaza in Kansas City, MO. Drawn in pencil in my trusty Moleskine yesterday from the children's section of the Kansas City Public Library, Plaza branch. It's also my entry for the Everyday Matters Challenge this week, #36, Draw in Public.

Beautiful. I love bridges and overhead views and this angle is so well-observed. I'm inspired to try to figure out where I can sit and draw one of Pittsburgh's bridges from above. Thanks!

I was in Kansas City about two weeks ago for a conference which was held on the top floor of the Davenport Hotel in the Plaza district. Is this the same bridge we looked down on from there? It certainly looks familiar and the bridge we saw did cross Brush creek. Wow, what a small world. Nice drawing!!
